One of the most innovative and sustainable greenhouses in the UK
Project Ely-Fenland is an unique project in terms of sustainability. The project is a follow-up to the ‘’Low Carbon Farming’’ project (29-ha) which was opened one year earlier. Project Ely-Fenland is a 22-hectare greenhouse project which is divided into four equal blocks of 5 hectares each. The project is largely heated by the use of heat pumps, which are installed in the energy center together with all other climate-technical highlights. The projects is a real example of cultivating while using as much renewable energy as possible.
Semi closed and fully automized lettuce greenhouse
Pure Green Farms is a semi-closed greenhouse equipped with a complete automized lettuce system, from potting until harvesting. The greenhouse is able to produce year-round lettuce of very high-quality while using as less water and energy as possible. The complete greenhouse facility is equipped with HPS- and LED lighting to achieve the highest possible yield per square meter.
Growing vegetables in the middle of the desert
The greenhouse facility that Bom Group has built in the UAE makes it possible to grow (year-round) vegetables in an extreme climate in the United Arab Emirates. The technologies used in the greenhouse are based to the needs of the plant, because we create the climate in the greenhouse as optimal as possible for the plants, it is possible to achieve maximum yields with using minimal water.
High-tech greenhouse in Japan
Project Tedy Co is a real example of growing crops locally. The greenhouse has been designed according to all local and national Japanese norms and requirements. The greenhouse and all equipment’s makes it possible to produce high quality vegetables in the (extreme) Japanese climate. If you combine this with the smart farming system from our local Japanese partner NTT Agri Technology, you can say that this greenhouse is future proof!
